Do I need a visa to go to Ho Chi Minh City
Whether you need a visa to enter Vietnam largely depends on your nationality. As of 2025, citizens from many Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines, do not require a visa for stays of up to 30 days. Additionally, nationals from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Sweden, and Denmark can also enter Vietnam without a visa for short visits. However, travelers from other nations will need to obtain a visa prior to their arrival or apply for an e-visa online.
